The Division of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy (DPOP) offers a doctor of philosophy degree (PhD)
focusing on outcomes research and policy. Concentration areas within the program include pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacoeconomics, and social and behavioral aspects of pharmacy. Students will develop solid research skills and capabilities that enable them to conduct quality research directed at improving the use and cost effectiveness of pharmaceutical products, technology, and services in society.
The objective of the graduate program is to prepare graduate and postgraduate students to become proficient at evaluating the impact of pharmaceutical products, services, and programs, particularly in terms of their impact on patient outcomes. The program at the doctoral level seeks to prepare students for leadership positions in outcomes research within academia, industry or government.
