Kit S. Lam, MD, PhD, a professor of internal medicine and chief of the
Division of Hematology Oncology at the University of California at Davis,
will present a seminar at the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer
Center on Friday, May 23.
The seminar, titled "From Combinatorial Chemistry to Cancer Targeting",
is sponsored by Lineberger, the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics,
and the Division of Hematology Oncology at UNC-Chapel Hill. It will be held
in the Joseph S. Pagano Conference Room (00-0002) from 11:15 a.m. to
12:15 p.m.
Lam is a practicing medical oncologist and a laboratory researcher. His
laboratory is engaged in the development and application of combinatorial
library methods for basic research and drug discovery. In addition to
cancer drug development, he is also interested in signal transduction,
antibiotics development, molecular immunology, chemical microarray,
and proteomics.
