The Division of Medicinal Chemistry and Natural Products will present a
seminar by Philip Portoghese, PhD, on Wednesday, November 19.
Portoghese is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Medicinal
Chemistry at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy. His primary
research interests are the design and synthesis of ligands as probes to
investigate pharmacologic receptors. His presentation is titled "Ligands
that selectively activate heterodimeric opioid receptors: are GPCR
heterodimers relevant in vivo?"
The seminar will be held from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. in Kerr Hall, room 2001.
