The GPEN Executive Committee and the faculty and students of the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy are pleased to invite you to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for the Eighth GPEN Meeting in 2010.

Founded in 1793, the UNC-Chapel Hill is the oldest public university in the United States. It is one corner of North Carolina’s famed Research Triangle—along with Duke and North Carolina State Universities—that encompasses Research Triangle Park. RTP is home to more than 150 companies and organizations, including 132 that are dedicated to research and development.

UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy

The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy is widely recognized as one of the preeminent schools in the nation in pharmacy education and in pharmaceutical science. The faculty and students pursue all aspects of pharmaceutical research, including medicinal chemistry and natural products, molecular pharmaceutics, pharmacotherapy and experimental therapeutics, and pharmaceutical outcomes and policy.

The School of Pharmacy maintains close ties to the UNC-Chapel Hill medical school, to the other basic- and health-sciences programs on campus, and to the companies and institutes in RTP to create a unique culture of collaboration and opportunity.
