The mission of the Laboratory is to elucidate the mechanisms determining the kinetics of drug disposition and action. Our current focus is primarily on drug transport phenomena, especially as they relate to drug distribution, elimination and pharmacologic response, how these processes may be affected by disease states, age, patient variables, and pharmacologic/toxicologic interactions. We are also interested in developing in vitro and computational models to predict drug disposition in the clinical setting.
