Beverly Knight
BEVERLY KNIGHT
Beverly is originally from West Virginia, where she received her Bachelor’s degree with top honors in chemistry in 1994. After that she moved to North Carolina and worked for seven years as an analytical chemist. She joined the graduate program in the Division of Drug Delivery and Disposition, now Division of Molecular Pharmaceutics, in 2001. Currently, her research focuses on the mechanisms of absorption from the intestine, particularly the interactive role of drug transporters and metabolic enzymes in drug transport across intestinal epithelium. She is scheduled to graduate in summer of 2007. Outside of school, her interests include knitting, hiking, mountain-biking, and kayaking.
