Associate Professor Moo J. Cho, PhD, Cho is creating a delivery system to infect a cancer tumor with bacterial elements in order to encourage the body’s immune system to recognize and attack the tumor without the dangerous side effects commonly associated with chemotherapy and radiation treatments. He has received a five-year grant from the National Cancer Institute worth more than $1.5 million to support his work.
