ADDING SECTIONS: ADJUSTING THE NAVIGATION MENU

As you add new folders and pages to your site, they also appear as links in the navigation menu on the left. If you’re using template 1, the folders also appear as tabs at the top of the page. The links are displayed in the order that the items are added.

However, suppose that on this sample site, you want to move Publications from the bottom to between Research and Biography in the menu. To adjust the order of items in the navigation menu:

  • While you’re on the home page of the site, click “Contents” in the second row of buttons.
  • In the content list, click the up arrow to the right of the item name. This will move Publications up one spot in the list.
  • Hit the up arrow again, and Publications will move to between Research and Biography. (Unfortunately, the system can only move items up or down one spot at a time, so you’ll have to keep repeating the steps).
