Research Interests
Adult education outcomes and pharmaceutical care outcomes in ambulatory patients.
Bio
Stephen Caiola has practiced and held administrative positions in hospital pharmacy and in ambulatory care community health centers. His teaching and research interests have concentrated on ambulatory care pharmacy practice, self-diagnosis/monitoring devices, practice management, preceptor development, and postgraduate professional education. He has served the American Pharmacists Association, American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, and North Carolina Association of Pharmacists as member and chair of multiple committees/task forces. In 2007, Caiola received NCAP's Acute Care Pharmacist of the Year Award. He also has served on the Specialty Council on Nutrition Support Pharmacy Practice of the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties. Caiola is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Health of Great Britain
