Patient education, medication errors, women’s health, curriculum design and evaluation
Kim Deloatch completed her bachelor of science in pharmacy and master of education at UNC (Go Heels!). Before returning to UNC, she practiced at Wilson Memorial Hospital and Duke University Medical Center, worked as a relief pharmacist in community pharmacies, and taught nursing pharmacology in a community college. She has worked as a consultant to pharmaceutical industry, home health care, veterinary medicine, and the Department of Defense. Deloatch currently coordinates PHCY 159L and lectures in other pharmaceutical care courses. She serves as director of the Pharmaceutical Care Lab program, director of the Office of Curricular Affairs, and chair of the Curriculum Committee.
