Addressing the needs of pharmacy practitioners who are at the point of care is one of the most important initiatives at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. Proactive involvement by the School in this area benefits our students, the state’s pharmacists, and the people of North Carolina. The Division of Pharmacy Practice and Experiential Education supports and develops this mission by providing evaluation, development, and education initiatives. By educating practitioners and students, as well as developing leaders in clinical practice, administration, and management, DPPEE helps ensure that pharmacy practitioners have the resources and support systems to continually refine their expertise. This in turn improves patient outcomes as pharmacists continue to provide and promote safe and effective medication-use practices to residents in the state. - Participating and serving in leadership roles in local, state, national, and international organizations that focus primarily on pharmacist-provided care
