Golf Tournament Celebrates 2007-2008 Scholarship Drive

More than ninety School alumni, faculty, and industry representatives gathered October 6 for the Fifteenth Annual Pharmacy Alumni Association Golf Tournament. The tournament celebrated the success of the 2007-2008 PAA scholarship drive, which raised more than $40,000 for student scholarships.

The team of David Bawden, Mike Singletary, Russell Smith, and Rick Whitesell took first place (pictured above). Allan Morgan, Stephen Holland, Tom McEwan, and Peter McEwan comprised the second place team. The team of Jeremy Patterson, Rob Bowman, Peter D'Apice, and Dennis Yoney placed third. Andy Gunter, John Stallings, Wayne Neal, and Rob Williford won the closest-to-the-pin competition.

More than eighty School alumni, faculty, and industry representatives gathered October 15, 2007, for the Fourteenth Annual Pharmacy Alumni Association Golf Tournament. The tournament celebrated the success of the 2006-2007 PAA Scholarship Drive, which raised more than $60,000 for student scholarships.

The team of Mickey Price ('73 BSPhar), Sam Rumfelt, Andy Stoker, and Steve Bedford ('83 BSPhar) took first place. Ronny Buchanan ('62 BSPhar), Revis Eller ('65 BSPhar), Wayne Neal, and Dean Emeritus Bill Campbell comprised the second-place team. The team of Sterling Koonce ('87 BSPhar), Michael Payne, Robbie Hopkins, and Alan Carroll placed third.

Skip Woody won the prize for the longest drive. Harry Dutton, Richard Sapienza, Phil Cates ('89 BSPhar, '98 PharmD), and Andy Stoker won the closest-to-the-pin competition.
