PCAT
The Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT) is required for all applicants. It is offered each year in the summer, fall, and spring at many testing centers throughout the United States. Applicants must take the PCAT no later than September of the year they are applying to receive full consideration admission. Students taking the exam for the first time in January of the year they would begin the program will be considered for the wait list only.
There are several scores reported on the PCAT score report. The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy reviews all the scores, but reports composite percentile rank. The average PCAT composite percentile rank score of students admitted in the past few years was 80-85%. Your highest PCAT score will be the one considered for admission.
Every applicant must submit scores to PharmCAS, not to the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. The PCAT code to use to have your scores sent to UNC through PharmCAS is 104.
