Application Phase I

Phase I

The first step in the application process is to complete and submit an online application to PharmCAS. Please note that both Phase I and Phase II of your application must be submitted by November 1 for the following fall term. Submit you application as soon as possible to ensure earlier review by the Admission Committee.

The Phase I application includes:

  1. PharmCAS application fee
  2. Biographical data
  3. Postsecondary institutions attended
  4. Academic course history
  5. Work experience
  6. Extracurricular activities
  7. A personal statement
  8. Official transcripts from all accredited U.S. institutions attended
  9. PCAT score (click here for more information about the PCAT)
  10. Two letters of recommendation

We recommend that you thoroughly review the PharmCAS Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section and have unofficial copies of all postsecondary transcripts available before you begin this process. Once this application is completed and verified, the data will be forwarded to the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Pharmacy.

Application Status

If you wish to see if your application file is complete and whether PharmCAS has forwarded your file to UNC, you can login to your PharmCAS application and check the Status menu option. Please do not contact the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy to see if PharmCAS has forwarded your file.
