Financial Aid & Awards

The School of Pharmacy offers approximately $330,000 in competitive scholarships, awards, and grants each year. Students become eligible for these following the completion of their first year in the PharmD program. Students will receive information about these financial aids during their first year in the program.

Many pharmacy students also apply for federal financial aid to assist with their educational expenses. To do this, complete the FAFSA application as soon as it becomes available for the year you wish to enter. The priority deadline is March 1 of the year you wish to enroll.

You will also find helpful information from the UNC-Chapel Hill Office of Scholarship and Financial Aid, including links to financial aid resources.

Important: Applicants who have completed a previous undergraduate degree are classified as a graduate student for financial aid purposes the entire four years of the PharmD program. Applicants without an undergraduate degree will be classified as an undergraduate for the first two years of the program, and then as a graduate student for the final two years. These classifications will affect the total aid package.
